Metatron Workbook is a dashboard set that composed of multiple charts. It is an easy way to quickly explore a new dataset without typing any code. In this scenario we are using the Sales dataset to measure sales performances.

Let’s continue in the video demo:

Data Preparation

Importing your local dataset with easy drag&drop. CSV, txt, json, or xslx type files can be loaded smoothly. Make a data flow to wragling the dataset. In the rule editing screen, set any rule to clean your data. It’s super easy even you don’t have a knowldege of preprocessing data. Make a data snapshot to ingest into our Druid engine.

Data source

Directly create a new data source from data snapshot of the Data Preparation feature. Set column types correctly. Such a simple cleansing work is possible here also. Then set the data duration and ingestion options in detail. After typing the name of data source, you can now see the ingestion process steps.

Visualization

Create a workbook in your own workspace. Add datasource you make and now there is a blank dashboard. Try to make any chart with measure and dimensions in the data source. Chart type is recommended when you click any measures and dimensions you want to see. In the dashboard editing screen, you can add global filter to the whole dashboard or add a text widget to show information about the dashboard.

Advanced Analytics

Create a new notebook in your workspace. Now develop analytics model on your own. Data source is linked directly to the notebook. After the work is done, now you can execute the job even regularly through the API we give you in the notebook.
