Marketing Analytics

Businesses are using Business Intelligence (BI) to make quick and accurate business decisions. In recent years, it has grown into a big data-based BI tool that can analyze a wide variety of data more quickly. Big data-based BI tools, such as Metatron, are enabling to make more accurate and effective marketing strategies with more data. A year ago, a global electronics company started to manage inventory by branch through Metatron, predicts customer demand and establishes successful marketing strategy.

Challenges

Global electronics company A has been using global BI products for the past few years. This allowed them to reduce manual labor much more than existing program like Excel by creating dashboards that provide information on sales and competitive products for products sold by global lawyers around the world.

Automation of analysis data and quick decision making was expected with the introduction of BI. However, there was a lack of engine and visualization ability to process big data. Also, restriction on processing or sharing data existed because it was based on local PC. Moreover, it was difficult to reflect internal requirements, such as multinational support for each corporation.

Business Impact

Through Metatron, Global Company A can create a dashboard on which they analyze the colors, product shapes, and specifications of each local area, as well as geographical results. These were all done in a real-time monitoring environment. Metatron also utilized a separate map library and a specialized map chart, which helped displaying the product characteristics and sales figures for each geographical area in various expressions-Drill Down, Polygon, etc.

Real-time variation collection and prediction

Headquarters can quickly identify global marketing effects and draw out problems after product launching. They can also catch changes in supply and demand by region in real time. By doing so, Company A can compare performance of current and past products, which helps predicting demand and for more efficient inventory management.

Quick decision tools in the enterprise

Company A has a variety of dashboards shared among branches and corporate members, which are actively utilized in communication. They create charts of various colors and shapes, showing specifications of products preferred by each branch and corporation. Configuring a dashboard to create a real-time monitoring environment is also possible. With these features, they can make real-time decisions based on objective data which enables real-time decisions based on objective data, quick marketing strategies, inventory management, and efficient branch management.
